Expertise and Safety
At AVCMD, patients can feel comfortable under the skilled hands of a surgeon, as Dr. Miller carries out all filler injections himself. He has performed filler injections for over 10 years and has trained with several experts in the field.
Our team is also committed to the highest safety standards. Two of the most important safety issues that we have been promoting and practicing over the last few years include:
1. Instead of multiple needle injections, Dr Miller utilizes a cannula (blunt tip) for most of his filler treatments. This technique lowers the risk of damage to small vessels or nerves and of injecting into an artery (which could have serious consequences), and is usually associated with less bruising when compared to the traditional needle method.
2. We are currently using only fillers made with hyaluronic acid, which can be dissolved rapidly with a special enzymatic product (hyaluronidase). This greatly enhances our ability to mitigate any risk resulting from complications.
