Cellulaze™ & Cellulite Treatment
An effective treatment for cellulite that attacks its very structure!
What is Cellulite?
Contrary to popular belief, cellulite results from structural issues below your skin’s surface. Cellulite is the accumulation of subcutaneous fat that causes the surface to look uneven and bumpy because of the way it pushes against the tissue under the skin.
Although weight and fat are contributing factors, men and women who have focused on improving their weight have not seen much improvement in the appearance of cellulite. Most commonly seen on the hips, buttocks and thighs, it is virtually impossible to completely get rid of all on your own.
How Cellulaze™ Works
How does Cellulaze treat cellulite?
Cellulaze is unique in its approach to treating cellulite. Other technologies that target cellulite work only superficially. Cellulaze works on the structural problems under the skin; it targets the tight and inflexible bands beneath the skin and improves the skin’s elasticity and thickness to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Cellulaze technology, which uses a YAG laser with the SideLaze fiber, has garnered attention for its successful results. The ThermaGuide™ system and SmartSense™ motion control technologies, also created by Cynosure, limit temperatures to a safe range, prevent extreme heat and help to ensure a treatment that is more uniform throughout.
Should I get Cellulaze™ treatments?
It is best to schedule a consultation with Dr. Miller and his team, who can then determine whether you are a prime candidate for this treatment. Ideally, women with cellulite will achieve more lasting and noticeable results if they:
- maintain a healthy lifestyle (this includes diet and exercise);
- have nearly reached their goal weight; and
- do not have a lot of excess or loose skin around the treatment area.
Clinical proof of Cellulaze results
Clinical studies and surveys reflect the results shown by Cellulaze patients. According to surveys after one year, just one Cellulaze treatment improves the appearance of cellulite with few side effects, 93% of patients were satisfied or very satisfied with their results, and all of them would recommend undergoing Cellulaze to a friend. Most significantly and contrary to results from other anti-cellulite treatments, studies also show that Cellulaze increased skin thickness by 25% and skin elasticity by 29% even after one year. Performed by a qualified physician, Cellulaze can change the appearance of cellulite and improve the condition, look and feel of your skin.
What can I expect during and after my Cellulaze™ procedure?
Like many of the treatments offered at the AVCMD, Dr. Miller performs this minimally invasive procedure using local anesthesia (i.e. numbing medicine). Patients have reported that they experience minimal discomfort and have described the feeling as moderate pressure on the treatment area.
Depending on the size of the treatment area, the procedure will last somewhere between one and one half to three hours.
We advise patients to limit exercise for at least the first four days after treatment. Patients will begin to see results within three to six months and will continue to see improvement for up to one year after the procedure.
